WOOD BURNING OR MULTI-FUEL - WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?
A dedicated wood burning stove is designed specifically for burning seasoned or kiln-dried wood and is an ideal choice where logs will be your principal fuel.
A multi-fuel stove provides additional flexibility by allowing the use of suitable approved solid fuels as well as wood, subject to the individual appliance specification. This can be useful for households wanting more than one fuel option. Always check the specification of the individual model, as fuel capability, output and Smoke Control approval vary between appliances.
FREESTANDING & INSET STOVES
Freestanding stoves provide a traditional focal point while offering a wide choice of sizes and styles. Compact 5kW models such as the Woodbridge 5 Slimline, Woodbridge 5 Deepline and models within the Newbourne range are designed to suit a variety of British fireplace openings and room layouts.
INSET WOOD BURNING & MULTI-FUEL STOVES
Inset stoves are installed within the fireplace opening, creating a clean built-in appearance while minimising the amount of the appliance projecting into the room.
Pevex offers a choice of inset models for different fireplace sizes and installation requirements.​
CHOOSING THE RIGHT STOVE FOR YOUR HOME
Choosing a stove involves more than selecting a design.
Heat output, fireplace dimensions, installation depth, chimney or flue arrangement and fuel type should all be considered before choosing an appliance.For many average-sized rooms, a stove around 5kW provides a useful starting point, although the appropriate output should be established for the individual property and installation.
Where fireplace depth is restricted, the Woodbridge 5 Slimline offers a shallower alternative to a conventional stove body. For deeper or wider fireplace openings, the Woodbridge 5 Deepline provides a more substantial firebox while retaining a nominal 5kW output.

BRITISH-DESIGNED STOVES FROM PEVEX
With more than 30 years of experience in the stove and fireplace industry, Pevex designs and develops stove ranges specifically for the British market. Our current product development includes the Woodbridge, Newbourne, Brightwell and Serenity collections, combining practical installation requirements with efficient combustion, contemporary performance standards and designs suited to British homes.
We work with British manufacturers, specialist fabricators and independent European test laboratories as part of the development and testing of our own stove ranges. From our base near Woodbridge, we also support independent retailers supplying wood burning and multi-fuel stoves in Suffolk and nationally around the UK, Scotland and Ireland.
ECODESIGN & SMOKE CONTROL
Modern stove performance involves both efficiency and emissions. Pevex ranges include appliances developed to meet current Ecodesign requirements, with selected models also suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas where the individual appliance has the appropriate exemption.
